I am Acting Director of Generation Rent until June, when our Director Designate, Ben Twomey takes on the role.

I am normally Deputy Director, overseeing our policy, research and comms work. Generation Rent represents private renters throughout the UK and campaigns for safe, secure and affordable homes in the private rented sector.

In nine years at the organisation I have worked on campaigns that resulted in the Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act, the Tenant Fees Act and the current proposals to abolish Section 21 evictions and introduce a landlord register and ombudsman.
